Sneak Peek: Elizabeth and Nathan

Elizabeth and Nathan were married on Saturday at Abbey Chapel in South Hadley MA and are destined to have the luckiest marriage possible given all the rain that fell that day. I was so impressed with their positivity and happy attitudes that day, you could see that the weather didn't matter, what mattered was their love and it was their wedding day. Luckily, their reception was at Mill 1 at Open Square in Holyoke and there are amazing indoor areas there for photos in addition to the fantastic reception. Here's your sneak peek of the day!

(I swear I don't do this pose at every wedding
but this was so cute!)

Tasting Wines and Beers

While in upstate NY for Sharleen and Chris's wedding a few weeks ago I had time to visit with friends and check out a couple of wineries and a brewery.  At Casa Larga we had the chance to take a tour of the winery and learn about oak versus metal, bottling and the process of making champagne (which can be made outside of France and still considered 'champagne' as long as it is made using a specific process). I enjoyed their wines and even had my second taste of ice wine.

Next up was Naked Dove Brewery for a sampling of some delicious beers. I loved their beers so much I even bought their t-shirt!

Last we visited Wilhelmus Estate Winery, an interesting little place off of the owner's home. The wines weren't quite my style but we did get some interesting stories as we drank!

Sneak Peek: Maggie and Brian

Maggie and Brian had a beautiful wedding in Upstate NY this past weekend. We took photos at their family's beautiful lake house, the ceremony was in a nice little chapel in Perry and their reception was a rocking party with a live band at the Big Tree Inn in Geneseo NY! Here's a sneak peek of he photos from the day!

Sneak Peek: Ashley and David

Ashley decided that she wanted another chance to rock her wedding dress! And better yet, her husband, David, was all about being a part of it and her bridesmaids were there to help. There are always photos that you just might not get the chance to catch on your wedding day due to time and stress or weather and location, so having the opportunity to put your dress back on, pamper yourself with hair and makeup and set up a photo shoot that matches your wedding theme (or is completely different) can be an amazing experience and produce beautiful photos.

The photo shoot was at the beautiful Christine Vangee Equestrian Barn in Marion NY which has amazing property, including a beautiful little lake next to an apple orchard and photogenic walking trails. You should definitely check them out, they may even be available to host outdoor weddings!

I am beyond excited about the images from the shoot. And couldn't wait to share one.

In Love: Kaitlyn and Curtis

Remember my previous post about Shoot Inspiration? Well here are the photos that were inspired by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Going into this shoot with such fun inspiration to show off Kaitlyn and Curtis's spirit and love really made the experience and resulted in some really unique images. The Dish 'n Dat was a wonderful location, plus they make a mean milkshake!

Location: Dish 'n Dat in Canton CT

From the Garden

I'd love to start a garden next year, though I don't know how good I'd be about keeping up with it.

While I was visiting my mother recently she was showing me her beautiful garden with its bean towers, rows of spinach leaves, potato barrels and garlic and onion plants as tall as I am. She gave me a few items to take home with me and I'm just fascinated by the onion plants. I had no idea how tall they grew or that they had such interesting little blooms at the very top. So while cleaning it all up I had to take out my camera!
