i spy

I just came across this adorable idea on theknot.com, a dinner time scavenger hunt at a NJ wedding. A fun idea and great design.

junebug weddings

I just came across this great wedding site, Junebug Weddings. The overall site is well designed and easy to navigate, unlike some sites I've come across for wedding information. It's focused on the west coast in Southern California and Seattle, but I think there are some great ideas for weddings with lots of adorable details and advice. There is even a section called Groom bug with advice for the gentleman with information on proposing, style and frequently asked questions. Check it out!

architecture in dc

While sorting through folders on my computer, in the process of organizing and archiving old files, I came across some photos from December that had been buried in a folder maze. The photos are from my second time ever visiting DC and I must have been most impressed by the architecture and structure of the city.

The light streaming in through the blinds and no alarm clock, what a wonderful morning!

hunting for a great salon

A great haircut makes us all feel amazing and a style that looks like it was done using gardening sheers has the exact opposite effect. A few months ago I had to deal with the latter. I was on the hunt for a new stylist after having a bad customer service experience with my old salon and, frustrated at the prospect of finding a new salon, I stopped in at a walk-in hair cuttery thinking that they could be just as good as any salon would be. I was so wrong.

After that hair butchering, I've been dreading my next cut and deciding who would be doing the cutting. I subscribe to Groupon, a website that runs discounts and deals from local businesses, which recently ran a promotion for a new salon named brush I hadn't heard about. It was a great deal and I needed a new salon so how could I resist? Today I went in for my cut.

As soon as I walked in the door I knew it would be a good experience. Brush. in East Longmeadow clearly has incredible style. The decor is modern and fun with unique details on each shelf and flat screen tvs on the vibrant walls running the Style Channel. Everyone I encountered was friendly and smiling. They all also have great personal style, I wish I had a picture of the great heels I saw today! (Though I doubt I could walk in them) I had my hair done by Diana Hunter, a Senior Stylist and I love the results. I'll probably be back soon for some summer highlights.

I definitely recommend Brush., check them out!

Lynn & Jason

I had a lot of fun working with Dwayne and Sarah from SnapShots Unlimited Saturday. We photographed Lynn and Jason's wedding at Mahan's Lakeview in CT. Here are some sample photos from the day as promised!

Sarah and I started the day with Lynn and her bridesmaids at the Marriott nearby while Dwayne worked with the gentleman. These women were so much fun to be around, with no shortage of laughing and personality, and while getting ready Lynn was already glowing in her Mrs. White hoodie and then looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding gown.

After hair, makeup and photo ops, we climbed into the limo.

The ceremony was held in a great little chapel with large windows, lots of light and a view.

During cocktail hour, we took a variety of formal photos with this lively group. Here are just a few.

The last formality of paperwork and Lynn and Jason are officially married!

Engagement Session with Mary & Jim

I had a great engagement session at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley on Sunday with Mary and Jim. They are so adorable together and were so fun to work with, they were even excited about climbing in a tree!
