Hasselblad Cameras & Phocus Software

Fotocare has been hosting helpful workshops, which I and others appreciate. I attended one today on Hasselblad's digital medium format cameras and Phocus Software lead by Paul Claesson, a field application specialist for Hasselblad. Some of the newest features of the H4D were shown, like true focus. We were shown menu options for the cameras, how to have the digital back and camera body communicate most effectively, shortcuts, troubleshooting and numerous functions of the software. Definitely equipment worth checking out.

Two Day Photoshop Workshop

I took a trip back to RIT for the weekend to teach a two day workshop on Photoshop technique to the employees of ETC Photographic Studio. It was great to see everyone again and I even learned a couple new tricks in the process of teaching the techniques I know!

Family Portraits

I had a lot of fun today photographing this family in their home. We did a variety of photos, from the more conventional family portrait to some casual shots like the mother daughter ones below.

Website Updates

I redesigned my website with a slightly different look and feel. It now offers more galleries and more room for growth. I'm really excited that it's completed!

Check out my newest gallery, photography from Coney Island.

Coach Holiday

Tonight was Coach's holiday party. What a beautiful set up, with a DJ behind a glowing booth, lights casting snowflakes of all colors on the ground, a variety of food and a number of bars serving drinks from soda to wine. It was a wonderful setting and the people filling the room, talking and later dancing, made it lively. It was a nice experience.

Coach

My first day working in the archive at Coach, as a Photographer and Digital Assets Independent Contractor!

The archive contains samples of products created by Coach dating back to it's creation. I photograph pieces by influential designers, such as Bonnie Cashin, and create digital records of their work, from purses and wallets to sketches and advertisements.

DecadenceDesigns

I photographed the products created by DecadenceDesigns for her online catalog and promotional materials.

A variety of products, decorated cigar boxes, knitted scarves and vases, wind chimes and more were shot, most of them on a grey gradated background, with prop styling on some items to demonstrate the potential product uses. I shot the majority of DecadenceDesign's inventory formatted for her online catalog.

Innovation

RIT hosts its first ever Imagine RIT: Innovation Festival, intended as an annual event. Creative works from each college on campus as well as clubs were highlighted in displays, demonstrations and experiments. I photographed the event and edited my photos, as well as those of other ETC photographers, on location for a slide show presentation in the field house, the center of the Innovation Festival, while it was happening.

In the College of Imagine Arts and Sciences, my fashion and product work was displayed in a large case. I received a lot of positive feedback from the showing of my work!

Our image is displayed within a case in the Photographic Arts building at RIT.
